In his continuous commitment to quality healthcare delivery, the Executive Secretary of the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Agency, Dr. Divine Okemefuna Igwe, officially flagged off a major medical intervention aimed at providing free healthcare services to 1,283 vulnerable persons across Ebonyi State.
The initiative—which covers surgical interventions, eye care treatments, medical screenings, and essential health support—is part of the ongoing implementation of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs.
Dr. Igwe stated that the program was designed to ensure that no vulnerable resident is left behind in accessing life-saving healthcare services. He reaffirmed that health remains a fundamental pillar of development, and equity in access must be sustained.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the intervention, noting the relief it brings to families unable to afford critical medical care.
Healthcare partners, community representatives, and medical teams also applauded Dr. Igwe’s dedication to expanding coverage under the state’s health insurance framework.
The flag-off ceremony demonstrates the government’s continuous drive to improve healthcare outcomes and uplift vulnerable populations across Ebonyi State.
